![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In Vedic Astrology, the most popular ayanamsa in vogue happens to be the Lahiri Chitra Paksha Ayanamsa. The sidereal zodiac value or the ayanamsa is deduced by deducting the relevant respective degrees from the tropical zodiac value to arrive at the ayanamsa. All of these happen to be roughly around 20 to 24 degrees away from the tropical zodiac. But there was a point in time when the sidereal zodiac and tropical zodiac coincided which is taken as the starting point. Different years are taken in contention viz Lahiri (285 AD), Krishnamurthy (291 AD), Raman (397 AD), Yuktheshwar (499 AD), Vakya Siddhantha (522 AD) etc. The sidereal ecliptic of a celestial body is less than the tropical ecliptic longitude. The biggest deterrent however with respect to Divisional Varga charts easily happens to be with respect to the Ayanamsa.Īyanamsa is defined as the angular distance between vedic first point and vernal equinox. The earlier article on Divisional Charts emphasizes on the fact that the role of time actually does not have such a big bearing when casting of varga charts as there is a sufficient time frame to play around with respect to planets actually changing signs within the zodiac. ![]()
